After rumors circulated about the fashion world’s most iconic person, Anna Wintour, snubbing Kim Kardashian things seem to have smoothed over between the two.  Wintour extend an invite to Kim and boyfriend, Kanye West, to attend dinner over her New York City home on Sunday.

In addition to that, Kim is also invited to the Met Gala Benefit Ball Wintour hosts and where it was claimed she was banned from last year

 It was reported that though Wintour enjoys Kanye, she didn’t think too highly of the reality star, declaring Kim to be “the worst thing since socks and sandals” and completely ignoring her at New York Fashion Week. However, there seems to be no animosity between the rapper or fashion queen in regards to his friendship with Wintour and relationship with Kim.

Surprisingly, Kim was well dressed in a form fitting maternity-adjusted dress from this year’s Prada spring collection.

Though the fashion world seems to be in favor of all things thin, ELLE Quebec goes against the norm displaying a plus size model on the cover of their May 2013 issue. Justine LeGault, a Canadian model, displays her size 14 frame proudly on the cover of this month’s issue. Internet commentators and editors alike are singing high praises of the magazine for taking a bold stance on getting other magazines to feature more shapely women.

With that being said, let’s hope the tides are being turned. Being a plus size woman myself I am definitely pulling for fashion magazines to feature full figured women.

The “Fly Girls” from the hit 90s comedy sketch show, “In Living Color,” was the inspiration for Urban Outfitters latest collection “Silence and Noise.” Lasting for four years, the television series was the starting point for a multitude of comics, dancers and musicians. The 90s-inspired collection includes Aztec prints, harem/jogger pants, crop tops, neon’s and high waist shorts all made memorable from the iconic dance troupe.

My opinion? The collection is adorable and definitely plays off of nostalgic fashions in the 90s, but it is pricy. Some of these items, I’m sure, can be found in a local thrift store.
