Bright lights, runway, popular music and trendy fashion are not the setting for New York Fashion Week but the anticipated grand opening of Apricot Lane in North Hills. Enticing bass thumping music made us gravitate towards a respected turn out of fashionable women. As we awaited the fashion show, beverages and hors d'oeuvres provided by Ruth Chris Steakhouse were plentiful and extremely delicious.

Within minutes our very own G105 radio personality Brooke, "Peanut Butter” Hoover strutted the catwalk to introduce the first portion of the fashion show. As the models walked to the beat of the popular song “Lights” from Ellie Goulding, one couldn’t help but salivate over the gorgeous woman on-the-go looks. A leopard print Faux Fur vest, houndstooth blazer, a pale pink back lace skater dress, well fitting jeans, riding boots and stunning statement accessories came and went, leaving us astounded.  The look that was the most memorable, in my opinion, was the black dress pictured on the right. It brought me to Rihanna in her Umbrella/Good Girl Gone Bad era. Paired with peep toe buckled booties and simple bracelets, I can see a woman who possesses a bit of edge making that dress a must-have.

After a short intermission, we were back at it with evening wear. Dresses and outfits for all body types and styles were presented with pure sophistication. It was chic, it was current and it was sexy, everything the modern day woman wants to be. After the show, the guests were instructed to walk next door to the Apricot Lane store, where everything was 20% off.  Now who doesn’t love a discount? With that said congratulations are due to Carol and George Toulas, the Apricot Lane staff, and Bolt Public Relations for a job well done!
