American Idol's season 2 winner Ruben Studdard wed Surata Zuri McCants at Canterbury United Methodist Church in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala. on June 28.

 

The Velvet Teddybear met his wife in October at a CD signing at an Atlanta Wal-Mart.

Archie fans rejoice! David Archuleta will be making sweet music.

 

The 17-year-old American Idol runner-up scored a record deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records, the same label as winner David Cook.

 

"Signing a record contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records is truly a dream come true," he said in a statement. "

 

"Being a fan of American Idol since season one and admiring the alumni, I am honored and humbled to be a part of that group. I'm really excited to start working on everything."

 

The album is due out later this year. The American Idol tour kicks off July 1.
